About the Opportunity
Dakota Plains Fencing is hiring Fence Installers for steady, travel-based work installing chain link and wood fencing on commercial and industrial job sites such as cell towers and substations.
This is a hands-on construction role with strong hourly earnings, paid travel expenses, and a consistent schedule that keeps you home on weekends.

Pay & Compensation
- $20.00/hour base pay
- Additional $11.20/hour travel pay when working out of town
- Paid lodging while traveling
- Daily meal per diem up to $30/day
- $500 sign-on bonus after 90 days
What You’ll Do
- Install chain link and wood fencing on commercial job sites
- Work as part of a crew on construction and infrastructure projects
- Travel out of state during the week for assignments
- Load, transport, and handle fencing materials and tools
- Follow safety procedures and complete installations to specification
Travel Schedule
- Travel required 3–4 days at a time during the week
- Home every weekend
- Company vehicle provided for travel
- All lodging covered by employer
- Meal per diem provided for travel days
What We’re Looking For
- Comfortable with physical, outdoor construction work
- Willingness to travel regularly during the week
- Dependable, safety-minded, and able to work in a team environment
- Experience towing a 30’ trailer is a plus, but not required
- Must live in or near Rapid City, Hot Springs, or surrounding South Dakota areas
